SPOTLIGHT: Brittani with Grace

There are not many places in Palmer where you can have an early morning coffee while listening to a professional tarot reader divine on the energy of the room’s attendees- so that made this morning’s particular cup of decaf a special treat.

This morning at Strudel Baker’s Deli, I listened to my friend and colleague, Brittani with Grace comment on the importance of Angel Numbers and Personal Wellness through a spiritual lense.

I firstly have to comment on the quaintness of the atmosphere. I’m a big fan of the antiquated stained glass the deli had on display hanging apart from the walls. It was also appreciated how the front counter worker hand delivered my coffee with a small pitcher of creamer on the side. Strudel’s atmosphere is charming and intimate.

The occasion for this event was unbeknownst to me ahead of time, as this was a last minute invitation. I was HAPPILY surprised to learn that this meeting was a “by word of mouth” small gathering of likeminded persons to discuss the evolving circumstances of food security in Alaska.

Sure, let’s ask how Food Security and Spiritual Wellness tie together. No, keep asking- I don’t have an answer for you. I can only say that I’m excited to learn more about this group’s unique individuals and evolving mission statement by committing myself to future attendances.

Interestingly, after introductions, the meeting was initiated by a traditional Christian prayer and then my friend Brittani was welcomed to the mic. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, Brittani is a Pisces with an elegant verbal flow. She introduces each of her multiple decks as she goes, with a broad consideration for those in the audience who may be walking different spiritual paths from herself.

Throughout her message, she maintains a mission statement on how to psychologically and emotionally benefit from the repeat messages and symbolism presented in her array of oracle cards. Time can slip by easily when lost in the rhythmic cadence of Brittani’s Piscean voice (that’s my very Taurus opinion).

Overall, it was an uplifting message from the professional herself.

I did also enjoy how the group wrapped up the meeting by engaging in questions that ultimately led us all down a rabbit hole of numerology.

From my own experience, there is a popular belief that Alaska’s spiritual community strictly thrives in Anchorage. However, I would like to disagree. The Valley is a beautiful plethora of different paths walking alongside each other, both traditional and non-traditional. Pockets of curious minds bubble throughout our main stream.

And you should never judge a book by its cover, flannel or not.
