Opening astrological talk.

Discussed the 11:11 portal.

Definition: This year’s 11/11 portal is considered the luckiest day of the year due to numerology. In numerology, 1 is a master number, 111 angel number  and overall manifestation super number. Make a wish! Energetically, what we say and visualize over the next few days could set the tone for the rest of the year.

Group Consensus: Many of us failed to note the day or intentionally celebrate it. However, timing of positive events occurred on theme regardless of awareness. TO NOTE: the Grand Opening of the Aura Loc’d in Lotus store on 11/11 * largely positive community reviews. Astrologically, more group attention is dedicated to the upcoming New Moon in Scorpio.

New Moons are generally regarded as the seasonal timings to plant new intentions.

“There are a few aspects adding to the energy of the new Moon in Scorpio. The Sun and Moon are conjunct, or next to, Mars in Scorpio. Mars is the traditional planetary ruler of Scorpio and one of the rulers, along with Pluto, of this new Moon. Mars adds fire and even more intensity to this new Moon. You may feel anger, frustration, or restlessness arise. These emotions may illuminate places where your boundaries have been infringed upon.”

TAROT: Deck show and tell.

Decks noted: TAROTORIAL -a deck created in the fashion of tarot flash cards.

Contribution: “When I was beginning to learn Tarot, I was advised by a professional reader to strictly start with the classic RIDER WAITE deck. In this way, I could rely on the symbolic visuals of a card’s design to determine the reading (rather than leaning on book definitions- and memorize the cards this way before purchasing cards that have more abstract and simplified art.”

ContributionSeventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom: A Book of Tarot by Rachel Pollack -“a book that expands on reading cards based on visualization of the design’s symbolism”   *Available on Amazon for 18.99

Side Quest: Tarot storage boxes discussed.

Contribution: “Old silverware serving boxes make good upcycled witch boxes for storing candles and tarot cards. Consider the energy fed into the boxes. Reverence. Families only brought out the fine china and silverware for special occasions. These boxes have personality. They want to hold important things.”

CARD OF CHOICE: the hermit

Everyone is asked to discuss the varying visuals of the Hermit card from each of their varying decks.

Observation Consensus: A seasonally appropriate card. Isolating introspection- digesting one’s experience and sorting out the knowledge gained. Representing someone who tunes out outside influences, bringing forth their own divine light. A stand alone strength. Shining one’s inner out light outward as a guiding beacon for others.

TAROT RITUAL: Set the Hermit card in front of oneself to be used as a visual focus. With the left hand, pull a card representing what you need to release in order to transition into your Hermit awareness/experience. With the right hand, pull a card representing what you need to guide you into your hermit awareness/experience.

Two candles. One each placed at the crown of each card, to be lit after the cards have been pulled. You could choose a color for each candle that represents your emotions about the topic of release/manifest. Light when ready to meditate/perform individual rituals (determined at one’s own discretion) on the subjects.

TOPIC DISCUSSION: Black Mirror Scrying

  1. What preconceived notions hold us back from scrying?  Consensus: setting down “Bloody Mary” and “candy man” superstitions that would corrupt focus.

  2. For what reason would we scry? Consensus: To strengthen focus. To unlock mental constraints. To feel better connected to one’s self. For clarity/answers.

  3. How to scry. Consensus: utilize a soft gaze- to look at the item but focus as if looking behind or beyond the item.

  4. What types of mirror or gemstones can be used in scrying. Consensus: Classic use of Obsidian. Other gemstones to be considered based on personal vibrations/composition.   Contribution: “Each of us has a unique composition and can vibrate/resonate differently to different gemstones/crystals.”

  5. How to make your own black mirror. Consensus: spray paint glass black, or black fabric backing used within picture frames. Mirrors can additionally be personalized with sigils and other spiritual dressings within the composing layers of the mirror or frame.

  6. When to cover or lock a mirror and how. Consensus: Tracing a sigil on a mirror to lock it. Keep a black mirror covered when not in use.

Contribution: “I always feel better after a good scry.”
